How a health system accelerated the launch and growth of a successful specialty program

West Tennessee Healthcare (WTH) is a public, not-for-profit health system that serves a wide rural area, which is no easy feat. A few years ago, leadership identified specialty pharmacy as an ideal solution to help them provide that much needed care in a financially sustainable way.

According to Jeff Blankenship, CFO for WTH, “it was one of those rare initiatives where we could improve patient care and satisfaction while also providing financial resources to the health system that can support all our other critical services.”
