December 2024
Our team was honored to showcase five posters at this year's ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting. We presented findings from the following clinical outcomes studies:
1. "Health Literacy Universal Precautions: An Evaluation of the Methods and Resources Utilized by Pharmacy Staff to Aid in Bridging the Health Literacy Gap," which studied specialty pharmacy’s impact on health literacy.
2. "Identifying Medication Reconciliation Inconsistencies Impacting 30-Day Readmission Rates at a 200 Bed Community Hospital in the Midwest," which evaluated the links between reconciliation risk and hospital readmissions.
3. "Inpatient Behavioral Health Utilization of Continuous Glucose Monitoring in a Pharmacist-Led Diabetes Management Program," which may help behavioral hospitals improve care for diabetics.
4. "Providers' Knowledge and Perceptions Regarding Basal-Bolus Insulin Therapy Utilization in Acute Care Settings," which will help to optimize diabetes care and inform guidelines.
5. "The Value of Pharmacist-Led Interventions to Mitigate Adverse Drug Events in Dermatology: A Cost Avoidance Approach," which studied the value of pharmacist-led interventions in dermatology clinics.
