Background
-
CPS-managed health-system specialty pharmacies (HSSPs) play a critical role in supporting the monitoring of disease activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), often leveraging patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) such as the Routine Assessment of Patient Index Data 3 (RAPID3).
-
The Vectra test integrates concentrations of 12 serum biomarkers with select patient characteristics (i.e., age, sex, and adiposity) to generate a composite score that reflects RA disease activity and predicts risk of radiographic progression,1 providing an objective complement to PROMs and traditional clinical assessment.
-
HSSPs are well positioned to operationalize the Vectra test into existing clinical workflows as a complement to RAPID3.2
Objectives
To describe the integration of the Vectra test into routine RA clinical management within a HSSP.
