caregivers. Disruptions may produce doubts as to whether sufficient personal protective equipment and supplies are available when needed. These place the system in a position where it is likely spending 
more on supplies for its sites than it should while also being less confident in its ability to support efficient patient care.

 

A large, nonprofit health system in the Midwest, consisting of nearly 500 staffed beds, approached CPS to optimize its materials management processes.

 

While the system had significant internal resources and personnel who skillfully directed many initiatives, their supply chain processes were lacking. As a result, they were experiencing consequences in the form of supply chain disruptions that hindered the performance of their teams.
